For a week we were in Aiken, SC attending
an Adult Driving Camp with champion driver Muffy Seaton ! It was a
ball !!!!! She gave us daily lessons in driven dressage, cones,
and big solid obstacles !!!!!!! We got to drive minis, drive great
sand roads and trails, learn from a Russian trick trainer, eat at
all kinds of strange places, go to a chicken auction, and compete
in a Horse Driving Trial ! The HDT had a dressage test with world
champion Suzy Stafford as judge, a cones course, and a cross
country drive with solid obstacles. I had NO idea what to expect
through those solid obstacles and after walking the course the day
before, I thought that I'd be lucky to get through them at a
walk....yikes ! You had to go through gates A,B, and C at each of
the three little complexes. Muffy assured my that we would fit,
but I wasn't so sure ! When the time came, Muffy rode as navigator
and coach and timer, and ole Danceadream just sailed through ! She
didn't bat an eye at anything and had no time or course penalties
on the 3.4 K ride !!!!!! It was so exciting !!!!!!She acted like
she loved it !!!!!!! It was the culmination of a wonderful week
!!!!!! Big Danceadream was a very good girl !!!!!!
